The GENKI FAMILIES programme is designed for au pairs and demi pairs who want to work for and live with an Australian family while they follow their language studies or work part-time in Perth.

At GENKI FAMILIES we understand that an ‘extra hand’ can be beneficial to the parents. It can also be a positive experience for children who love the extra attention and who may also gain from learning about new cultures. At GENKI FAMILIES we aim to provide the best possible service for both the au pairs and the families.

Genki Families at present provides au pairs and demi pairs mostly from Japan. This may change in the future.

Au pair means ‘on par’ or living on an equal basis in a reciprocal relationship between the host family and a young person from a different country. A demi pair and an Au pair work 18 hours a week with housework and childcare, in exchange for accommodation and meals. We also offer homestay programmes for families wishing for a more cultural experience.
